Rishi Vaishampayana narrates “ Oh! Bharatha, the wicked Duryodhana was extremely satisfied to hear the instruction of King Dhrutharashtra to send Pandavas to Varanavarth.  Oh! Powerful bull of the Bharatha Dynasty, later Duryodhana invited Purochan, his advisor in isolation, held his hands firmly and spoke ‘Oh! Purochan, the entire flourished land of  Kuru Kingdom is mine and you have equal rights on this.  Thus, it is your responsibility to protect the same; I have no trustworthy and devoted advisor like you. Therefore, the respected one, I want your guidance and support to vanquish my enemies with your intelligence.  Follow my instructions carefully, King Dhrutharashtra has sent the Pandavas to Varanavarth, according to the instructions of the King, they will delightfully spend their time in the festivals going to be held in Varanavarth.  You should reach quickly in Varanavarth before Pandavas arrives and construct a marvelous palace close to the place where the weapons and armaments are stored.  The palace should be well decorated with precious gems and classy materials.  You should utilize sands, ghee, rusted clothes and straws, flesh and flood, wood and large quantity of wax for covering its walls, construct a spectacular palace which should not be recognizable to Pandavas or anyone that it is easily destructible by fire.   Further, receive Kunthi with her sons and relatives to the palace with all the honors.  King Dhrutharashtra should not raise any complaints about the arrangements have been made in Varanavarth.  Provide them with the most luxurious furniture and fixtures and vehicles, none of the people of Varanavath should know about our plans.   Later, wisely execute our plan, set fire on the main entrance to the palace when the Pandavas are in deep sleep and ascertain that Pandavas are killed in this fire hazard.  The people of Varanavarth should speak that the Pandavas died of fire accident in the palace.’  Purochan amicably replied ‘Let it shall be ‘after listening to Duryodhana and hurried in his chariot to Varanavath.  Within in a short period of time, Purochan arrived in Varanavarth and skillfully performed his duties as instructed by Duryodhana. “
