Rishi Vaishampayana continued “The people of Varanavarth came to know about the arrival of Pandava’s and it brought them in a state of ecstasy.    They all hurried in various convoys to receive the sons of Pandu, they were carried numerous gifts mentioned in the scriptures to offer the sinless sons of Pandu and they showered blessings on them uttering ‘Victory to you all’, they gathered around the sons of Kunthi with utmost admiration.  Yudhistira majestically stood in the middle of those people of Varanavarth like Lord Indra among the deities,  they were all adorned in various precious gems were highly revered by the people of Varanavarth, eventually they entered in the thickly populated city.  They visited the house of Brahmins who were engaged in their duties of teaching Veda & Scriptures, prominent members of the Varanavarth, and the homes of soothars, Vaishya and shudras.  Oh! The bull of Bharatha dynasty, Pandavas assigned Purochan to proceed to the palace constructed for them and they followed him.  At the arrival Purochan served them with meals, drinks, beddings etc..  Pandavas continued to reside in this palace was highly revered by the people of Varanavarth and Purochan, in this way, Pandavas stayed ten days in that palace.  Though the palace was inauspicious place to live in, Purochan repeatedly convinced them that it was one of the divine palaces to settle.  Later, well attired Pandavas with various gems and jewelry entered like Yaksha in to the inner areas of palace with Purochan.  The sinless Yudhishtira keenly observed the entire palace and informed Bhima that it was constructed with easily burning materials, mostly wax added with high quality ghee and fat.  Yudhishtira spoke to Bhima “ Oh! Destroyer of enemies, it is clearly evident that the palace is constructed with easily burning materials.  It was the plan of our enemy to construct the palace with all those dried materials like grass, straw, woods added with pure ghee by a skillful architect.  It was the treacherous place of Duryodhana, we all believed Purochan who is the wicked servant of Duryodhana waiting to burn us into ashes.  Oh! Son of Prutha, the righteous and intelligent Vidura who was always desired for our good has already informed me about the depraved plan of Duryodhana and the wax house.”  Bhima replied “Oh! Brother, if you are aware of this palace was constructed with easily burning materials, in my opinion it is advisable to leave this palace right now and return to our home.”  Yudhistira answered ‘Oh! Bhima, it is wise to be in this palace, we will continue to live here without giving any suspicion to Purochan, we will remain vigilant and cautious, and at the same time we should find an appropriate way to protect us.  Purochan is an evil-doer living in this palace at the instruction of Duryodhana.  How do Bhishmacharya react to the situation after listening to the news of our death in fire accident? Did he get fuming with anger towards Kauravas? There is a possible chance that all the righteous members in our family of Kurus include our grandfather Bhishmacharya may get wrath and react to this incident.  If we move out this palace with the fear of fire accident, there is a risk that Duryodhana who is desired the throne of Hasthinapur has the power and men to follow his evil instructions, he will send his men to search for us and kill.  We have neither power nor men with us, he has possessed the both.  We have no companion or close association, we have no wealth but Duryodhana has all that in his possession. Is not that clear that Duryodhana will try to kill us by using any of the means, either by wealth or power or men?  Therefore, we will bamboozle Purochan and run our days.  We will continue to live in forests and wander on Earth, conduct rigorous hunting expedition that will help us to find out various routes, which will help us to protect from the enemies in times of crisis.  Today, we will secretly construct a tunnel from our chamber.  Thus, we will do all those needed to protect us in a secret manner; we will definitely win over the fire accident.  We will continue to stay here and do our work without the knowledge of Purochan or the people of Varanavarth, no one should know about our existence.”

Rishi Vaishampayana continued “ Pandavas preceded to Varanavarth in an auspicious chariots pulled by fine horses which has the speed of wind.  Before getting into the Chariots, Pandavas reverentially greeted and prostrated before Bhishmacharya, King Dhrutharashtra, Dronacharya, Kripacharya, Vidura and elderly members of Kuru family.  Pandavas affectionately embraced the youngest members of the family, bade farewell to the ministers of assembly and the people of Hasthinapur.   Vidura and elderly members of the Kuru family and the people of Hasthinapur followed the lion like valorous Pandavas for a little distance and returned with heavy heart.  The people of Hasthinapur observed the grief of sons of Pandu while leaving their own land and they screamed in loud voices “The wicked and blind King Dhrutharashtra is failed to pay attention towards the righteousness and impartiality.  The sinless Yudhishtira, valorous Bhima, or Dhanajya/ Arjuna son of Kunthi/Prutha should not have any guilt feelings in future (The people of Hasthinapur had foreseen the great war of Kurushetra).  How could it is possible for the honorable sons of Madhri, Nakula and Sahadeva to react to this situation when Yudhishtira, Bhima and Arjuna keeps silence at this moment? King Dhrutharashtra is jealous of the achievement of these valorous sons of Pandu in their right of their Kingdom.  How did Bhishmacharya remain silent without any grief and keep unnoticed the unfair practises when Pandavas exiled to the sinful land Varanavarth?  The King Vichithraveerya, son of righteous King Shanthanu and King Pandu were ruled this city successfully and took care of its subjects as their children,  but King Pandu attained salvation in the world of deities and King Dhrutharashtra turned self-centered and arrogant towards the sinless sons of Pandu, legal heir to the throne.  Why should we stay in this flourished city?  We will discard our homes and treat that we too exiled from this city and follow Yudhishtira the righteous son of Pandu.”  Yudhishtira listened to the sorrowful words of the people of Hasthinapur, though he was completely devastated at the turn of events, he pacified the people “King is like our father, he is respectable, he is our preceptor and elderly person, we should always follow his instructions without any doubt.  You all are our sincere friends, you have been caring and pouring your good wishes upon us, hence you have pleased us; you have to return to your homes now and sincerely wait for the opportunity to serve us for the betterment at the right time.” after listening to the modest opinion of Yudhishtira, the people of Hasthinapur started to leave, before that they circumambulated and showered blessings on them.  Once the people of Hasthinapura started to leave to their homes, Vidura who is prominent in the Nithi Sastra/impartiality approached Yudhishtira and spoke in the slang of an inferior caste/Mleccha, that was well known to Yudhishtira as well “It is the responsibility of an individual to be cautious and remain well- protected himself against the treacherous plans of the enemies in the regime.  If an individual knows the fact that there are various methods other than the weapons to chop off the body and aware to protect from them, he remains victorious and unaffected by the enemies.  The blaze which swallow the straw and wood, the sun which evaporates the dew drops cannot do harm to the rats or deer sheltered in the hollow of a tree, thus the intelligent ones survive at the time of crisis.  A blind has no knowledge of paths and never bothers to know the same.  A non ambitious individual never prosper in his life.  Keep all that I have mentioned in your memories and protect yourselves.  Your enemies’ evil idea to punish with the non-weapon/wax house should be confronted like a lion which resides in a cavern with various exits to protect it from the hazard; it will help at the time of fire hazard.  An individual attain the knowledge of various routes when he takes up expedition, stars will help to locate the different directions.  Who has perfect control over their senses cannot be defeated by enemy.”   Yudhishtira replied ‘I have understood the truth’ after listening to the inspirational speeches of Vidura.  Later, Vidura followed them for a while and bade farewell and wished them good luck and returned home.   Bhishmacharya, People of Hasthinapur and Vidura stopped following them, then Kunthi spoke “I did not understand anything Kshatri/Vidura has told you, he was not conversing anything but you have replied to him in the same slang.  We did not understand anything, if it’s harmless to know I would like to hear about the conversation.”  Yudhishtira answered “ The righteous Vidura warned me about the wax palace constructed for us which is easily burn into ashes, also instructed me to learn the ways to protect from the danger and advised that who has perfect control over senses would always be successful.  I replied to Vidura that I have understood all that said.”

Rishi Vaishampayana spoke “ Pandavas arrived at Varanavarth and met the people of the city on the eighth day with the star Rohini in the month Phalgun.”

Rishi Vaishampayana narrates “ Oh! Bharatha, the wicked Duryodhana was extremely satisfied to hear the instruction of King Dhrutharashtra to send Pandavas to Varanavarth.  Oh! Powerful bull of the Bharatha Dynasty, later Duryodhana invited Purochan, his advisor in isolation, held his hands firmly and spoke ‘Oh! Purochan, the entire flourished land of  Kuru Kingdom is mine and you have equal rights on this.  Thus, it is your responsibility to protect the same; I have no trustworthy and devoted advisor like you. Therefore, the respected one, I want your guidance and support to vanquish my enemies with your intelligence.  Follow my instructions carefully, King Dhrutharashtra has sent the Pandavas to Varanavarth, according to the instructions of the King, they will delightfully spend their time in the festivals going to be held in Varanavarth.  You should reach quickly in Varanavarth before Pandavas arrives and construct a marvelous palace close to the place where the weapons and armaments are stored.  The palace should be well decorated with precious gems and classy materials.  You should utilize sands, ghee, rusted clothes and straws, flesh and flood, wood and large quantity of wax for covering its walls, construct a spectacular palace which should not be recognizable to Pandavas or anyone that it is easily destructible by fire.   Further, receive Kunthi with her sons and relatives to the palace with all the honors.  King Dhrutharashtra should not raise any complaints about the arrangements have been made in Varanavarth.  Provide them with the most luxurious furniture and fixtures and vehicles, none of the people of Varanavath should know about our plans.   Later, wisely execute our plan, set fire on the main entrance to the palace when the Pandavas are in deep sleep and ascertain that Pandavas are killed in this fire hazard.  The people of Varanavarth should speak that the Pandavas died of fire accident in the palace.’  Purochan amicably replied ‘Let it shall be ‘after listening to Duryodhana and hurried in his chariot to Varanavath.  Within in a short period of time, Purochan arrived in Varanavarth and skillfully performed his duties as instructed by Duryodhana. “
